Abominable 2014-2015 Updates

Hey all you ASSers! We are working on scheduling the races for the year as winter aproaches. Not all the details are finalized so we will be sure to update the facebook page and this website regularly to keep all you ASSers informed! Below is a quick overview of what you can expect this winter.



December 6, 2014 at 5PM Cuddy Park- GBFDST (thats short for Global Fat Bike Day Short Track)
-Warm up for your Global Fat Bike Day ride with our fun and intense fat bike short track race at Cuddy Park
-Registration will be from 4pm to 4:45pm at Cuddy Park
-There will be two races, all beginner category and all sport cagegory racers will race at 5pm and all Expert racers will race at 5:45pm
-Each race will be 30 minutes plus 1 lap
-At 6:30pm, after the last race, there will be a group ride from Cuddy Park to West Chester Lagoon to the Global Fat Bike Day Ride

January 31, 2015 at 6PM Hillside STA Super D 
-The Details for this are still up in the air. We are to get all you racers a little more bang for your buck by starting the race at Glen Alps however the state park permit is still pending, so no guarantees. If our permit gets turned down, then we will start at the Prospect Heights Trail Head like last year.
-Registration will be from 4:30 to 5:30pm Hlltop Ski Area Ski Jump Overflow Parking Lot
-Race will start at 6PM and racers will be starting at 30 second intervals and the start list will be based off  last years Super D results.

February 7, 2015 at 11AM Eagle River Rampage at the Eagle River Nature Center
-This race is a fundraiser for the Eagle River Nature Center
-The Course is around a 10 Mile lap of narrow nordic trails and winding along the Frozen Eagle River.
-More registration and course information to come

February 28, 2015 at 6PM Alaska Fat Bike State Championships at Kincaid Park
-This will be the first Alaska Fat Bike State Championship race
-This will be an XC style race with 6 mile laps. Expert racers will complete 4 laps, Sport Racers will complete 2 laps, and Beginner Racers will complete 1 lap.
-Registration will be from 5 to 5:45pm at Kincaid Park
