Global Fat Bike Day Short Track Details

Abominable #1 GBFDST (Global Fat Bike Day Short Track)

  • Date - Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 5:00 PM 
  • Location - Cuddy Park in Midtown
  • Registration 
    • Save some money and register for all three of our races for $50 at Chain Reaction Cycles from Tuesday, December 2 through Saturday, December 6 until 2pm. Or register the day of the race on site for $20 (cash and check only).
    • On site registration will be from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM
  • Pre-Race Meeting - The pre-race meeting will be held 5 minutes before each race at the start line.
  • Course Information
    • Start/Finish - The race will start and finish on the bike path loop in Cuddy Park nearest to the Loussac Library Parking lot. 
    • Beginner and Sport Racers will start at 5:00 PM and will race for 30 minutes plus one lap. Expert Racers will start at 5:45 PM and will race for 30 minutes plus one lap.
    • Race timers will start ringing a bell when the race leader has one lap to go. After the race leader has begun their last lap, every rider there after will be given the bell to begin their last lap. Once the race leader has finished their last lap, every rider after that will be done
    • Race course and number of laps subject to change depending on conditions.
  • SWAG
    • First Lap Prime - There will be a prize provided by Bear Tooth for the first racer to complete the first lap in each category.
    • Finish Prizes - There will be finish line prizes provided by Bear Tooth and Chain Reaction Cycles for the top three in each category.
  • Group Ride
    • At 6:30 PM after the final race, there will be a group ride from Cuddy Park to Global Fat Bike Day headquarters at Westchester Lagoon.
