Abominable #1 Course Report and Registration Update

Course Report!

The Abominable #1 Course is marked with the exception of the final touches which will happen race day. The 1cm of snow dusting has made the Kincaid trails 10 times better than it has been over the last week. Its still slippery out there but no longer a death trap, and the snow that we are supposed to get over night will only help with that. The race is still on for 4PM tomorrow, Saturday December 14, and the number of laps is still the same. 1 lap for Beginners, 2 for Sport, and 3 for Expert.

Registration

The Abominable #1 Registration will close at 11AM tomorrow, Saturday December 14. On site registration will be from 3PM to 3:30PM.

First Race will be Postponed to Saturday December 14, at 4pm

Due to the poor conditions, we will have to postpone the first Abominable race one week. While checking out the course last night, the multi-use trail was just glazed and slippery, then the singletrack was a death trap, downright dangerous! The race will be held at Kincaid Park on December 14, 2013 at 4pm. There is also a high school ski race on the 14th, so that is why the race will be later in the afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience and short notice, but that seems to be the way Anchorage weather goes. Stay tuned for any further details and possible changes.
